Why write a blog… who will bother to read it?

Well my marketing has sucked, hey we aren’t trained to design websites and promote yourself, instead we are taught how to create beautiful, sustainable and well considered, elegant architecture for the world to work, play and live in.

After 20 years designing buildings for large commercial architectural practices I decided to start to start my own business and established 5 EDGE.

I am now into my 5th year of sole trading as an architectural designer running my own practice and I love what I do, we have provided many architectural projects to a wide range of clients both domestic and commercial.

Where does the work come from.. Most of my commissions come from existing happy clients through referrals.

So how do we get around this marketing issue and connect with new clients organically? How do I connect to you on a personal and professional level that is engaging and helpful?

Well I have been thinking about what is the best way to connect and engage with new clients and anyone interested in architectural design. There is so much that happens behind the scenes, to put all this content on a website would make it a full time job. (Heck that’s why its never finished).

So it seams the best way to keep you all posted on what we are designing, things of interest, latest building regulations, technologies and projects etc etc would be to start a journal aka the blog!
